Game Dev with Roblox

Roblox is a very popular video game platform where kids can make their own games with the built-in tools of Roblox Studio and immediately share that experience with friends, family and others. Students learn to work within a game engine, 3D modeling their own levels and features as well as coding their game with Lua Script. We take students step by step through this 20-week course, as they learn the ins and outs of Roblox Studio, earn badges along the way and find their way to becoming a game developer.
Course Objective:
- Explore roblox
- Work with script templates
- Explore game stories and narrative
- Learn about game design documents
- Design and publish a Roblox game
Learn To:
- Code with Lua Script
- 3D Model and visualize architecture and more
- Add effects, sounds and more to enhance gameplay
- Design NPC’s and interactions
- Create an experience that draws in players

Teaching youth students the highly engaging skills of art and coding has been my passion and full-time job for 7+ years now. I am always doing my best to engage each student on their own level and at their own pace. This has been my core strategy and reason for my success as an instructor.
