FAQ

What should I expect my student to learn and make in your program?
From birdhouses and cutting boards to video games and short film animations—students experience a wide range of project ideas while enrolled in our courses. Fundamentally, students will learn to design, code and or build their way through a situation.

How does this all work?
Courses run inside computer lab classrooms or within the maker space shop area. The tools and resources within Hacker Lab are a part of the course curriculums and instructors manage the interactions between students and tools. Students enroll in courses that run once a week for 90 minutes. They may enroll in multiple courses if they wish.

What time slots are available for classes?
Day courses are available Monday – Thursday at 9:00AM, 11:00AM, and 1:00PM.
After school courses are available Monday – Thursday at 3:30PM to 5:00PM.

How do I register for a class?

We are also registered as a vendor with several charter schools. Please contact us if you would like to use a charter school voucher.

What is your cancellation/refund policy?
You may cancel your classes up to 72 hours ahead of the first attended day. Refunds are not available for classes cancelled less than 24 hours before the appointment.

Will my student need their own email address?
Yes. An email address is needed to sign up on websites, and register for software. Websites like Mixamo or Soundtrap, and software like Substance Painter and Unreal Engine all require an email address.

Please make sure the student will be able to access this email account during the tutoring session.
A parent’s email address is CC’d on every email between the instructor and student.

How many students are in each class?
These are group classes with up to 8 students in each session.
